Staffing and Supervision

In line with Quality Standards of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Kripa Blossom ensures that children are cared for by sufficient numbers of suitably qualified, experienced, and skilled staff who are appropriately supervised and supported to fulfil their roles effectively.

Staffing levels are maintained 24 hours a day and are informed by comprehensive risk assessments, children’s individual care plans, and the specific needs and vulnerabilities of those accommodated. Staffing ratios are reviewed regularly and adjusted as required to ensure children’s safety, welfare, and positive experiences within the home.

All staff complete mandatory induction and ongoing training relevant to their roles, including safeguarding, behaviour management, health and safety, and trauma-informed practice. Staff are supported by a robust supervision framework, which includes regular formal supervision, access to reflective practice, and annual appraisals to support continuous professional development and accountability.

A clear management structure is in place, with a senior member of staff available on call at all times to provide guidance, oversight, and decision-making support. This ensures that staff are appropriately supported and that children receive consistent, safe, and high-quality care at all times.
